December is here, so it's time to announce our Staff Members of the Month! 

These individuals keep a positive attitude and  are always willing to lend a hand to help our staff and students. These staff members put students first and we are so thankful for the impact they make each day on our campus and in our community.

We would like to congratulate Ms. DeLangie,  Mr. Burton, and Mr. Carroll for being selected as our December Staff Members of the Month!  We greatly appreciate the time and energy they give to our Pride. These teachers demonstrate our Core Commitments at Riverwalk Academy! 

Ms. DeLangie,  3rd Grade Teacher

DeLangie was nominated by a colleague who said:

"Mrs. DeLangie consistently and humbly assists any staff member who is in need of help or advice. She listens and encourages, and she also values relationships with students--even from past years. Mrs. DeLangie is a constant bright light here at Riverwalk Academy! We are blessed to have her as a coworker and a friend!"

Ms. DeLangie was nominated for exhibiting the commitment of "We commit to each other by upholding a productive environment through collaboration, preparation, organization, accountability and feedback.

Mr. Burton, Dean of Students

Burton was nominated by a colleague who said:

"Mr. Burton is always willing to fill roles that may go unnoticed. I have witnessed him going out of his way many times for teachers based on his desire to improve the overall health of Riverwalk. He makes himself available in the mod hallways during transitions, intervenes with concerns in the middle school realm, and checks in frequently with staff to ensure all is well. Mr. Burton understands what it takes to be a leader, role model and asset not only at Riverwalk but surrounding communities. Thank you Mr. Burton

Mr. CarrollDean of Student

Carroll was nominated by a colleague who said:

"He did a great job of contacting and bringing in guest speakers for our November advisory session. He continues to build positive relationships with the students.

Mr. Carroll was nominated for exhibiting the commitment of "We commit to our families and surrounding communities by viewing and respecting them as essential educational partners who are critical to the overall success of their children."
