Class of 26

"Success isn't just about the destination; it's about the trail you blaze along the way." For the 33 graduates of the Class of 2026, the trail they left behind at Riverwalk Academy is marked by historic achievements, unmatched spirit, and a foundation that will support them wherever they go next.

May 29, 2026 — Riverwalk Academy proudly celebrated its fifth commencement ceremony this week, honoring the Class of 2026, our largest graduating class to date!

On May 21, 2026, 33 senior Lions walked across the stage, turning their tassels and marking a significant milestone for themselves and the continued growth of Riverwalk Academy. This class not only represents the largest senior class in our school’s history, but also one of our most accomplished.

A Legacy of Achievement

The Class of 2026 collectively earned 664 college credits while still in high school. Twenty-four graduates applied to college, and 100% were accepted, with eight matriculating at four-year colleges this fall. Several students also completed impressive dual-enrollment milestones, including:

  • 2 Associate in Science degrees

  • 1 Associate in Automotive Technology

  • 2 Career Certifications (Manufacturing Fundamentals and Electrical Fundamentals)

  • 3 University Studies Certificates

In addition, 13 students completed at least one CTE Pathway, and several seniors competed at the BPA Nationals this year. The class also boasted strong athletic achievements throughout their high school careers. We even have one graduate who is enlisting in the United States Army.

Celebrating the Journey

Families, staff, and friends gathered to cheer on these remarkable students as they completed their Riverwalk journey. The ceremony was filled with pride, reflection, and excitement for the bright futures ahead.

"The Senior Class of 2026 created a year defined by connection, involvement, and school spirit. From planning meaningful senior events to supporting one another throughout the year, they built a strong sense of community and made their final year together truly special. I have truly enjoyed working with this group of students and watching the friendships, leadership, and memories they built along the way. I am incredibly proud of the class they have become and the positive impact they have left on our school community." — Ms. Christine Born, College and Career Counselor

Looking to the Future

This milestone graduation reflects the dedication of our students, the unwavering support of our families, and the commitment of our entire Riverwalk team. As we celebrate the Class of 2026, we also look forward with great anticipation to the Class of 2027, which is expected to exceed 60 students.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! You have made Riverwalk Academy proud.
