We are glad to announce two of our staff members have earned the title of Staff Member Of The Month for the month of August. These individuals have rendered their services with utter enthusiasm and diligence.
To be nominated Staff Member of the Month is highly coveted here at Riverwalk Academy. Not only does it come with the satisfaction of being publicly recognized for the hard work and countless hours our staff invest, but it also comes with a personalized parking sign and luxury parking spot for the month.
We are excited to announce that this year's Staff Members of The Month will also receive an additional special treat! This year we have partnered with HWY 55 and they have donated $10 gift cards to each staff member selected for the month. We are appreciative of this gesture and love the opportunity to connect to our community.
We would like to congratulate Rachel Taylor and new staff member, Dr. Dempsey for being selected as August's Staff Members of the Month! What a wonderful achievement and we greatly appreciate the time and energy they give to our Pride.

Not only was Ms. Taylor preparing for her own classes, she has also been working countless hours to make sure all staff and students have their technology needs met. Dr. Christy Dempsey, Director of Special Services

"Dr. Dempsey has hit the ground running. During the "teacher work days" she spent part of her time re-organizing the Special Service pod to have it user friendly for her staff and students and the other part in trainings and meetings. She has worked tirelessly after everyone is long gone to make sure she was prepared for this school year. Dr. Dempsey goes above and beyond and I am so glad to have her a part of our PRIDE!
She has been working very hard to get our special education team running smoothly and efficiently."
