Tomorrow we welcome a new month! November is the time to be thankful! We would like to embrace those who have enriched our lives.
We are glad to announce two of our staff members have earned the title of Staff Member Of The Month for the month of November. These individuals have rendered their services with much enthusiasm and diligence.
We are excited to partner with HWY 55 and they have donated $10 gift cards to each staff member selected for the month and those nominated will receive a $25 gift card. We are appreciative of this gesture and love the opportunity to connect to our community.
We would like to congratulate Ms. Long and Ms. Lahr for being selected as November's Staff Members of the Month! A wonderful achievement and we greatly appreciate the time and energy they give to our Pride.

Alyssa Long has gone above and beyond with her dedication to Riverwalk's students this year. Ms. Long's official title is STEM teacher, but she is always willing to jump in and help when there is a need. She has added reading interventions for our 4th and 5th grade teachers to her responsibilities. She also noticed a class that needed extra help in math and has volunteered her time to come in and teach them extra lessons. Last but not least I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing the students' excitement about going to STEM class this year. Ms. Long puts great thought into her lessons to make them engaging while also giving students practice with much needed skills. Riverwalk is very lucky to have her.

Mrs. Lahr goes above and beyond for her students. Her relationship with each and every kid is evident. She wears many hats at our school and gives her best in all of those roles. She deserves to be applauded and recognized for her hard work as a teacher, coach, and colleague.
