Last week was a long one for our Riverwalk family. As we grieved the loss of a teacher, our community showed up for each other in every way imaginable - checking in, sending comfort, simply being present.

Big night at Riverwalk Academy! We celebrated our All-State track standouts and congratulated Ms. Bussey and Ms. Rollins, our August Staff Members of the Month.

We also welcomed our newly elected and re-elected board members — Ms. Barbara Benjamin, Mr. Corbin Stripling, and Ms. Adelle Spears — sworn in by Board Attorney Mary Allison Caudell.

Congrats to our 2026-27 board leadership: Mr. Mack Wallace (Chair), Mr. Corbin Stripling (Vice Chair), Ms. Bridget Mazzoni (Secretary), and Ms. Amy Roddey (Treasurer).

We love to see the various paths that our high school students take as they journey through our grade levels and plan for their future outside of Riverwalk Academy. Trent Marshall, who is already graduating a year early, also received his military honors cord this morning in Columbia. Trent plans to move directly into military service once graduating from Riverwalk Academy this week. We're so proud of you, Trent!
